Owner Information:
Steve & Carol Bailey own and run the shop with help from grandson Ryan. Steve was a builder for over 40 years. Much of his work focused on the restoration of antique homes in Northwood. Those experiences, along with encouragement from friends and family, led to the opening of Bailey’s Slim Pickins over 10 years ago.
Shop Description:
We started the shop in one room of a building on our property but have expanded to an indoor 24’ x 96’ space that is overflowing. We have outdoor space as well where customers are free to dig & explore. We are usually described as an indoor flea market and that description suits us. You could spend the day hunting in our shop and still not see it all. Our inventory is diverse and caters to all ages.
History:
Our original building dates to 1983 with additions in 1984 and 1985. The building was originally used as office space, then as a cabinet shop, then as a mechanical shop. Much of the old machinery and tools have sold but we did keep a few things—you never know what the future will bring!
